SPOT rates for shipping containers from
Asia to northern Europe in the week ending Friday edged down by 5.9 per
cent to US$1,058 per TEU.
Asia-Mediterranean rates held firm, ticking down slightly to $1,179 per TEU, according to the Shanghai Containerised Freight Index (SCFI).
Rates from Shanghai to US west coast were down 5.7 per cent to $1,543
per FEU while China-US east coast put on 2.8 per cent to $2,888 per FEU.
