SINGAPORE-LISTED Hutchison Port Holdings Trust (HPH Trust) has announced the appointment of Fong Chi Wai Alex, 63, as
independent non-executive director, replacing retiring Kevin Anthony
Westley.
"We are pleased to welcome Dr Fong to
the board, who brings with him rich experiences in the transport and
logistics industry. We would also like to thank Mr Westley for his
valuable contribution to the HPH Trust, and we wish him the best in his
retirement," said HPH Trust chairman Canning Fok.
Dr Fong also directorships in Tom Group Limited, HK Electric Investments
Manager Limited, HK Electric Investments Limited, Glory Mark Hi-Tech
(Holdings) Limited and Hongkong Electric Company Limited
He is also past CEO the Hong Kong General Chamber of Commerce and has 25
years of experience in the government of Hong Kong with operational and
policy formulation expertise as the secretary to the Hong Kong Port and
Maritime Board and the Hong Kong Logistics Development Council.
Dr Fong holds a doctorate in business administration from the City
University of Hong Kong, an MSc in global finance from the New York
University/Hong Kong University of Science and Technology as well as a
bachelors of social science in business and economics from the
University of Hong Kong.
He is a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport in
Hong Kong, a fellow of the Hong Kong Institute of Directors.
Following the appointment of Dr Fong, HPH Trust will continue to have
nine directors, five of whom are independent non-executive directors.
