ZIM is revising its service network covering the container shipping trade
between Asia and the Pacific northwest (PNW), with effect from April,
subject to regulatory approval
As a result, the new port rotation for
the ZIM Pacific Procyon (ZP8) service will be: Nansha, Yantian,
Shanghai, Busan, Yokohama, Prince Rupert, returning to Vancouver. The
ZP8 port rotation is including South China port calls to shorten transit
times.
The connection between the Pearl River Delta and Pacific northwest will
be enhanced with a new Nansha port call and a second weekly call at
Yantian port.
To improve the transit time for exports from US and Canada destined for
the Far East will include a second port visit at Vancouver.
The ZIM Pacific Pollux (ZP9) service, the carrier's second Asia-Pacific
northwest service, will continue without change on a port rotation of:
Kaohsiung, Xiamen, Yantian, Ningbo, Shanghai, Pusan, Vancouver, Seattle,
Yokohama, Pusan and back to Kaohsiung.
Executive vice president Nissim Yochai explained: "Our Asia-PNW service
is updated aligning to market demand with improved rotation and transit
time."
