FESCO starts new box shuttle train from Novosibirsk to Khabarovsk
Date:2020-02-25 Readers:
FESCO Transportation Group (FESCO) is expanding its Russian route network of regular container shipping services by launching the FESCO Ob Amur Shuttle - a container train from Novosibirsk in the central Siberian Arctic 5,000 kilometres away to Khabarovsk on the Amur River near the Chinese north easternmost border with Russia.

The service is aimed at domestic transportation between Siberia and the Far East regions.

These shuttle trains will depart once a week from Novosibirsk-Vostochniy station. The transit time to the destination at Krasnaya Rechka (Red River) station is six days. The FESCO Ob Amur Shuttle will mainly carry consumer goods. Its planned transportation volume is 450 TEU per month, reported St Petersburg's SeaNews.

The first FESCO Ob Amur Shuttle train arrived at Krasnaya Rechka station on February 16.
