HSBC Trade and Supply Chain has appointed Vinay Mendonca as head of global traditional trade product.

Based out of Hong Kong, Mendonca joins from HSBC India where he most recently served as head of product management for HSBC Trade and Supply Chain.

In this newly created global position, Mendonca will be responsible for setting strategic direction for the traditional trade product portfolio. His responsibilities will include driving the design and development of new products and services as well as management of the existing market leading HSBC trade franchise.

Rebecca Adriatico, head of global product management, said trade was the foundation on which HSBC was built and continued to be a cornerstone in the bank’s operations.

“Through the creation of this strategic role, we are able to continue expanding our global operations in order to deliver the best products and services to our clients,” she said.
