OOCL cancels raft of Asia-Europe sailings during height of peak season

HONG KONG's Orient Overseas Container Line (OOCL), in response to low demand in the market, has announced a number of blank sailings on the Asia-Europe at the height of the peak season.

In the Asia-North Europe Service Loop 3, the westbound voyage with an ETA at Xiamen on August 5 in Week 32 will be cancelled as will the eastbound voyage with an ETA at Hamburg on September 8 in Week 37.

In Loop 5, the westbound voyage with an ETA at Qingdao on July 11 in Week 28 will be cancelled as will the eastbound voyage with an ETA at Rotterdam on August 20 in Week 34.

Again in Loop 5, the westbound voyage with an ETA at Qingdao on September 5 in Week 36 will be cancelled as will the eastbound voyage with an ETA at Rotterdam on October 15 in Week 42.

In IP3, the westbound voyage with an ETA at Vizag on July 18 in Week 29 will be cancelled as will the eastbound voyage with an ETA at Rotterdam on August 15 in Week 33.

Again in IP3, the westbound voyage with an ETA at Vizag on August 8 in Week 32 will be cancelled in Week 32 as will the eastbound voyage with its ETA at Rotterdam on September 5 in Week 36.

In the Asia-West Mediterranean Service, the WM2 the westbound voyage with an ETA at Qingdao on July 28 in Week 31 as will the eastbound voyage with an ETA at Valencia on September 1 in Week 36.

In the AAS service, the westbound voyage with an ETA at Shanghai on July 14 in Week 29 will be cancelled as will the eastbound voyage with an ETA at Trieste on August 17 in Week 34.

Also in the AAS service, the westbound voyage with an ETA at Shanghai on August 4 in Week 32 will be cancelled as will the eastbound voyage with an ETA at Trieste on September 7 in Week 37.

Also in the AAS service, the westbound voyage with an ETA at Shanghai on August 18 in Week 34 will be cancelled as will the eastbound voyage with an ETA at Trieste on September 21 in Week 39.

For service recovery arrangements, the Asia-East Mediterranean and Black Sea (EM1) sailings that fall on the same week as the AAS blank sailings listed above will add calls to Koper by adjusting its own port rotation as follows: Shanghai, Busan, Ningbo, Shekou, Singapore, Port Said West, Koper, Izmit, Ambarli, Constanza, Odessa, Piraeus, Port Said West, Jeddah, Port Kelang and Busan.

The concerned EM1 sailings with port rotation adjustments starting from Westbound are ETA Shanghai on July 16 in Week 29; ETA Shanghai on August 6 in Week 32 and ETA at Shanghai on August 20 in Week 34.

In the Asia, East Mediterranean and Black Sea Service - EM1, the westbound voyage with an ETA at Busan in Week 28 will be cancelled as will the eastbound voyage with an ETA at Istanbul on August 14 in Week 33.
