FRENCH shipping giant CMA CGM announced the implementation a winter surcharge from December 1 until April 30 applying to all imports and exports to/from the Russian ports of St Petersburg, Bronka and Ust-Luga.
The surcharge will apply to dry and reefer boxes rom North Europe, Scandinavia, Poland, West Med, East Med, Baltic, Black Sea, North Africa, Morocco to St Petersburg, Bronka & Ust-Luga at a rate of EUR90 (US$104) per TEU, reports the American Journal of Transportation,
From other ports to St Petersburg, Bronka and Ust-Luga the rate will be $!00 per TEU and from St Petersburg, Bronka & Ust-Luga to worldwide: $55 per TEU.
