SPOT rates for shipping containers from Asia to northern Europe in the week ending Friday increased six per cent to US$2,984 per TEU.
Asia-Mediterranean rates increased 4.8 per cent to $3,223 per TEU, according to the Shanghai Containerised Freight Index (SCFI).
Rates from Shanghai to US west coast were down 2.1 per cent to $3,900 per FEU. China-US east coast increased 1.4 per cent $4,874 per FEU.
