SPOT rates for shipping containers from Asia to northern Europe in the week ending Friday increased 10.5 per cent to US$3,169 per TEU.
Asia-Mediterranean rates increased 6.5 per cent at $3,465 per TEU, according to the Shanghai Containerised Freight Index (SCFI).
Rates from Shanghai to US west coast were down 2.3 per cent to $1,280 per TEU. China-US east coast increased 1.04 per cent to $1,432 per TEU.
