SPOT rates for shipping containers from Asia to northern Europe in the week ending Friday rose one per cent to US$937per TEU.
Asia-Mediterranean rates increased 2.3 per cent at $996 per TEU, according to the Shanghai Containerised Freight Index (SCFI).
Rates from Shanghai to US west coast were up 0.9 per cent to $3,440 per FEU while China-US east coast rates increased 1.04 per cent to $3,951 per FEU.
