Li Gang, born in April 1962, majoring in International Shipping Management at Shanghai Maritime University, is the Deputy Secretary-General of Shanghai International Shipping Institute. He has managed or contributed to more than 40 well-received and highly applicable strategic shipping management programs and research projects endorsed by China’s Ministry of Transport, Shanghai Municipal Government, as well as shipping companies and port authorities. Having served 17 years at the high managerial level at domestically renowned shipping exchange organization, ocean shipping company and famous international ship management company, he accumulates rich experience both in shipping management practicing and research and university teaching as well. He has been selected as one the soft scientific project researcher and a member of the expert tank at the ministerial level. He also worked as a specialist in Shanghai Investment Consulting Corporation. He was appointed as an editorial board member of China Shipping Development Report. He is now Researcher of the Development Research Center of Shanghai Municipal Government.
