Dachser Mexico offers cross-border trucking, customs clearance
Date:2021-10-13 Readers:
GERMANY's Dacher Mexico is offering a seamless cross-border trucking and customs clearance to connect customers to Dachser USA's less than container load (LCL) service between China and the US West Coast, reports Hellenic Shipping News.

Introduced in February 2021, it addresses the congestion at the Ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach and reduces the transit time by one to two days and cuts dwell time down from 14 to 25 days to three to seven days.

The service includes picking up the customer's cargo at either the Port of Long Beach or the Port of Los Angeles and transporting it by truck to Laredo, TX.

"Our customers wanted to take advantage of Dachser USA's reliable and cost-effective LCL service from China to the US west coast ports. This cross-border service enables businesses in Asia and the US to reach Mexico faster," said Dachser Mexico managing director Edgardo Hamon

"Dachser Mexico's cross-border service provides seamless end-to-end delivery and avoids the risk of having our customers' shipments left behind or held up at customs," said Mr Hamon.

All road transportation vehicles are equipped with GPS and can be tracked and traced in real-time.

"This collaboration with Dachser USA demonstrates the power of our network - we are able to help our customers realise shorter supply chains, which is essential as the market demands faster delivery times." said Mr Hamon.
