THE municipal government of Chongqing's Yubei District plans to set up special fund for development of the logistics industry to offer subsidies to important logistics projects and for the construction of infrastructure in logistics parks.
    The district will also provide charges a transport administration fee for locally registered container trucks and to loosen control on the examination and approval of logistics project applications, reports Xinhua.
    The district plans to build a 5.1-square kilometre logistics facility inside the airport industrial park with convenient expressway and highway network links based at the airport. Meanwhile, the government will support the development of local logistics operators and attract world-class companies like ProLogis and Kerry Logistics to set up regional headquarters and distribution facilities there.
