Port of Fremantle container throughput declines 5pc
Date:2022-05-23 Readers:
THE Port of Fremantle saw a five per cent decrease in container throughput in March, with 69,111 TEU, when compared to the previous month's total throughput of 72,838 TEU, reports North Sydney's Daily Cargo News.

It was also a decline, of three per cent, on March 2021's total of 70,958 TEU.

The decrease was largely driven by a decline in containerised overseas exports

Overseas exports declined 14 per cent in March, compared with the previous month, to 29,370 TEU.

Coastal exports increased 30 per cent from 4,695 TEU in February to 6,099 TEU in March.

Imports decreased marginally from 33,854 TEU in February to 33,642 TEU in March.
