New container shipping route opens between China, Canada
Date:2022-07-18 Readers:
LOADED with 4,950 TEU, a ship at Qinzhou automated container terminal, marked the opening of the first direct container shipping line between the city in south China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, bordering Vietnam, and the Canadian west coast.

Ships on this route will mainly call at ports of Qinzhou, Hong Kong and Vancouver, reports Beijing's China Global Television Network (CGTN.

The new line will shorten the travel time from the Beibu Gulf in Guangxi to western North America to only about 20 days. Beibu Gulf Port, a trade and logistics passage connecting 14 provincial-level regions in China, has 316 ports in 107 countries and regions around the world.
