FRENCH shipping giant CMA CGM has levying an overweight surcharge (OWS) effective from April on China to Nigeria cargo, reports Athens' Container News.
The surcharge applies to dry cargo from all the Chinese ports destined for Apapa in Nigeria.
The shipping company declared the overweight surcharge will be US$500 per TEU with a container gross weight equal to or over 18 tons.
