SOUTHWEST China's Chongqing plans to invest CNY1.5 billion (US$245.25 million) in building a cold chain logistics Park in Agri-logistics Processing Area in the city's High-tech Zone, according to Chongqing High-tech Zone Administrative Committee, reports Xinhua.

Chongqing government plans to develop the new facility into the largest cold chain logistics centre on upper Yangtze River and a national class-1 cold chain logistics hub base.

Once completed, the facility will have a cold storage capacity of 340,000 tonnes and can bring business volume of CNY50 billion every year.
