Container traffic via Azov and Black Sea Ports down 11.6pc

RUSSIAN container traffic in the Azov and Black seas was down 11.6 per cent in October, reports St Petersberg's SeaNews.

According to SeaNews' PORTSTAT analytic online service, imports were down 10.3 per cent to 28,100 TEU, and exports fell 12.9 per cent to 27,000 TEU.

Laden container traffic amounted to 41,000 TEU, down 21.4 per cent year on year, including 5,300 TEU reefer containers and 35,700 TEU dry containers. Empties surged 38.8 per cent to make 14,100 TEU.
