KOREA Shipbuilding & Offshore Engineering has won a contract to build two liquefied natural gas carriers.
Under the deal worth Won674.9bn ($518m) with an undisclosed buyer, the vessels will be built by KSOE’s Hyundai Samho Heavy Industries unit, according to a statement.
They are scheduled for delivery to a buyer in Oceania by the first quarter of 2027.
The contract makes up 15.91% of KSOE’s sales for the fiscal year-ended December 31.
The latest contract brings the tally of newbuilding LNG tanker orders in KSOE to 10.
