Khalifa Port ranked 3rd most efficient container port globally
Date:2023-06-26 Readers:
AD Ports Group has announced that Khalifa Port has secured the impressive position of being the third most efficient container port worldwide, reports London's Port Technology.

This recognition stems from the recent release of the Container Port Performance Index (CPPI) developed by the World Bank and S&P Global Market Intelligence.

The achievement of being ranked as the third most efficient container port in 2022 can be attributed to the ongoing investments in the port's infrastructure and dedicated efforts to enhance operational efficiency.

This distinction has also attracted strategic partnerships with three of the world's largest container shipping lines, serving as a significant commercial advantage.

As a result, Abu Dhabi and the United Arab Emirates have experienced enhanced connectivity and have become more appealing as a global trade hub.

The ranking is based on the duration vessels spend in the port to complete cargo exchange, encompassing the entirety of 2022.

Khalifa Port was previously the fifth-ranked port in the 2021 CPPI report.

"The further improvement in the CPPI efficiency ranking of Khalifa Port is a direct result of the persistent efforts of our teams involved in the day-to-day operations," said AD Ports Group Ports Cluster CEO Al Mazrouei.

"Their dedication to operational excellence and safety, along with the state-of-the-art infrastructure of Khalifa Port has earned us this increased ranking."
