To delve deeper, the importation of laden containers witnessed a decrease in volume during July 2023 in contrast to July 2022. Notably, sectors such as domestic appliances, furniture, and toys exhibited volumes below those of the preceding year.
Concurrently, the exports of laden containers also experienced a reduction in volume compared to July 2022.
This decline was particularly evident in commodities such as hay, chaff, fodder, and raw cotton, which fell short of the volumes recorded in the previous year.
Furthermore, the overall movement of empty containers decreased in July 2023 when juxtaposed with the volumes from the previous year.
