HONG KONG's Orient Overseas Container Line (OOCL) has welcomed another eco-friendly 24,188-TEU mega vessel to the Cosco group fleet, the OOCL Zeebrugge.

Today, Orient Overseas Container Line Ltd ("OOCL") is delighted to welcome another new mega containership into its fleet, "OOCL Zeebrugge" , the fifth eco-friendly 24,188 TEU vessel in a series of twelve, the carrier said.

The vessel, the fifth in a series of twelve was named by Shi Lei, deputy general manager of SUMEC Corp and chairwoman of SUMEC Machinery & Electric Co, at a ceremony held at the Nantong COSCO KHI Ship Engineering (NACKS) shipyard, in the presence of a number of distinguished guests, including customers and business partners.

Kenny Ye, chief operating officer of OOCL, said at the ceremony: "The company's interim results reflect the robustness of OOCL's business operations through changing markets.
