From July 18th to 20th, the Ocean Expo Ningbo, jointly hosted by Informa Group and China Shipowners’ Association was successfully held in Ningbo International Convention and Exhibition Center. With the theme of "Blue Silk Road Connects the World", more than 300 Chinese and foreign exhibitors jointly unveiled this year, covering an exhibition area of 22,000 square meters. 

In addition to the distinctive domestic and foreign exhibitors and a wide range of products and services, in these three days of exhibition, the organizer carefully planned two international summits "The 3rd Marine Fuel 360 China Conference" and "The 2nd Smart Port Innovation Summit" and more than ten professional forums held at the same time at the exhibition site, with topics including green ships, environmental and social governance, zero-carbon shipping, international logistics, ship trading and management, investment and other hot topics in the industry, inviting experts and professors in various fields to bring wonderful sharing.

In addition, in the context of the complex international situation and the increasing proportion of the service industry in international shipping trade, it is necessary to re-examine the development of the port and shipping industry from the perspective of the global and service industries. At this Ocean Expo Ningbo, the Shanghai International Shipping Institute and Informa Group jointly released the White Paper on the Development of Global Port and Shipping Service Industry (2022) for the first time, and jointly committed to building Ningbo into a highland of port and shipping service industry.

The White Paper on the Development of Global Port and Shipping Service Industry (2022) was released by Dr. Li Zhiping, senior analyst and director of the Shipping Service Research Office, SISI, which introduced the development status and future prospects of the global port and shipping service industry from five aspects: global shipping industry, port industry, ship management industry, ship brokerage industry and maritime law industry, and introduced the development trend of ship transportation industry, port industry and ship brokerage industry through three topics, which has guiding significance for the development of global port and shipping service industry.
