Los Angeles, the busiest seaport in the Western Hemisphere, is a vital trade gateway in North America, holding the top position as the number one container port in the US for 23 consecutive years.

In 2022, it facilitated US$311 billion in trade and handled a total of 9.9 million container units, making it the second busiest calendar year in the port's 116-year history.

The operations and commerce of the San Pedro Bay complex play a crucial role in supporting one in nine jobs across the Southern California counties of Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino and Ventura.
