YANGZIJIANG Shipbuilding Holdings has secured US$770m orders in the third quarter of 2023, bringing to a total orderbook of $6.54 billion for 2023 - more than double its original target for the year, according to its latest business update.
Yangzijian updated that it is on track to achieve its delivery target of 57 vessels, with 42 vessels already delivered, according to Hellenic Shipping News.
Amongst notable vessels delivered include six 24,000 TEU containerships, delivered to the Mediterranean Shipping Company (MSC).
Yangzijiang also delivered the world's largest containership, which it said solidifies its position in the ultra-large containership space.
The ship is also designed to achieve EEDI Phase III efficiency measures, which reduces carbon emissions by 3 to 4 per cent.
Yangzijiang also made its first LNG dual-fuel vessel delivery to Seaspan. This is the first of fifteen 7,000 TEU LNG dual containership orders to Seaspan.
