Swiss freight forwarding giant Kuehne + Nagel has launched 18 new less-than-container load (LCL) services in the Asia Pacific region.
Together with the introduction of a series LCL services started in mid-April, they bring the number of the company's LCL products to 276 direct and 88 multinational gateway services.
The new additions consist of 13 direct and five gateway services, featuring weekly or twice-weekly sailings between key ports in Asia, including Yokohama, Hong Kong, Huangpu, Yantian, Shanghai, Ningbo, Xiamen, Singapore, Karachi, Pusan, Colombo, Jakarta, Chennai and Penang as well as to Europe, Canada and the Middle East, a company statement said.
The newly implemented routes are operated under Blue Anchor Line, Kuehne + Nagel's in-house NVOCC (non-vessel operating common carrier).
"Fixed-day schedules plus transparency along the entire global supply chains via Kuehne + Nagel's logistics portal, KN Login, allow for further improvements in connectivity, transit times and reliability," it said.
