Singapore's Best Employers rankings have been unveiled and these shipping companies made the list!
Date:2024-05-15 Readers:
Entering its 5th year, the Best Employers in Singapore ranking targets the top 250 companies and organisations in 27 industries with at least 200 employees in Singapore. The survey was conducted by The Straits Times in Singapore and Statista, a German data company.

Six maritime-related companies took part in the ranking, with ONE ranking 65th and Maersk moving up from last year's ranking to 118th. Hapag Lloyd Asia is another liner shipping company on the list, ranking 174th. Other notable maritime-related companies on the list include PSA International and Jurong Port.

The top score for 2024 was 8.82 out of 10, down from 9.13 in the previous year, while the last-place score was 6.90. ONE scored 7.68, while Maersk's score was 7.44. Hapag Lloyd Asia scored 7.18 points overall. "This is the first time that ONE has participated in the Straits Times Best Employers in Singapore Awards and is delighted to be ranked 65th out of 250 top companies and 6th out of 13 companies in the transport and logistics sector." Said Ai Lin Tay, Senior Vice President, Global Human Resources, ONE.

The top 5 companies in the survey were Apple, Google, Asia Pacific Breweries, Siemens and Motorola Singapore.

The results of the survey showed that the more satisfied employees are with their work-life balance, the more likely they are to recommend their employer to others. The survey also found that salary has become a more important factor in employee satisfaction globally due to the uncertainty caused by the new crown epidemic and inflation.
