The world's largest, about to return to China!
Date:2024-08-20 Readers:
On August 12, local time, the 77,000-tonne multi-purpose pulp vessel ‘GREEN PORTOCEL’ of COSCO Shipping Special Delivery made its first call at the T32 terminal of Brazil's SANTOS Port, where it will load 72,000 tonnes of pulp and then return to China, extending the record of the largest pulp loading capacity of COSCO Shipping Special Delivery's fleet.

According to the staff of COSCO Shipping Special Delivery, this call for loading coincides with the first time that the pulp customer of COSCO Shipping Special Delivery, Shuzhan Eucalyptus, has shipped pulp at the T32 Terminal after the expansion and restart of the terminal, and it is also the first time that GREEN PORTOCEL has made a call to the Port of Santos in Brazil for operation.

‘With an overall length of 225.0 metres, a breadth of 32.26 metres and a depth of 21.0 metres, GREEN PORTOCEL is an energy-saving and environmentally friendly green ship with a design speed of 15 knots and a range of 25,000 nautical miles. The ship's cargo holds are all box-shaped and equipped with rotor dehumidifiers, which can fully guarantee the quality and safety of pulp cargo transport. In addition to meeting the loading requirements of pulp customers, the vessel is also suitable for loading high-speed railway trains, wind power equipment, new energy vehicles, large machinery and equipment, ultra-long and ultra-heavy steel pipe pile structures and other cargoes. In order to ensure the safety of new energy vehicle transport, this series of vessels has added a ‘one-to-one’ temperature monitoring and warning system.

COSCO Shipping has already connected several 77,000-tonne multi-purpose professional pulp vessels to strengthen the logistics service for the whole industry chain, including pulp mills and ports.
