Date:2025-02-27 Readers:
PSA Singapore has handled 10 million TEU at Tuas Port, the world's largest fully automated container terminal, since its operations began in September 2022.

"Positioned as a key node in the global maritime ecosystem, Tuas Port is designed to meet the growing demands of international trade and strengthen Singapore's status as a leading transshipment hub," a PSA Singapore statement said.

Ong Kim Pong, Group CEO of PSA International, said: "With its unparalleled scale, capacity and advanced capabilities, the mega port is well-positioned to meet the evolving needs of the global supply chain industry. It provides long-term capacity assurance and superior connectivity to our customers, solidifying its status as the preferred hub of choice for global trade."

Nelson Quek, regional CEO Southeast Asia, PSA International, said: "As a clear embodiment of our forward-thinking vision, Tuas Port will continue to enhance Singapore's connectivity to global markets and reinforce its competitiveness in the international port and supply chain industry.

"This achievement was made possible through the strong and collaborative partnerships we share with our unions, customers and government agencies."

Tuas Port began with three berths and now has 11 in operation.

"PSA remains dedicated to advancing sustainable and smart technologies across our port operations, ensuring that Tuas Port not only continues to set industry benchmarks for operational and service excellence, but also leads the way in environmental stewardship," the statement added.
