GREEK shipowner Danaos Corp. has taken delivery of two 10,100-TEU newbuildings built by Hyundai Samho Heavy Industries.

    Both container ships have immediately started 12-year time charters at a fixed charter rate with Hanjin shipping, which has named the vessels, the Hanjin Germany and the Hanjin Italy.

    The two newbuildings bring Danaos' operational fleet to 53 containerships with a total capacity of 243,529 TEU.
