THE 15,000-TEU ZIM Mount Rainier docked at the Port of Wilmington, breaking the record as the biggest ship to dock at the port, reported WECT News radio.
The ship is powered by liquified gas. It stops at ports along the east coast and Asia, including several ports in China and South Korea.
It's part of the ocean carrier ZIM's new ZCP service which is a transpacific service. This is the first of the 15,000-TEU vessels to call the port.
