China Shipbuilding Group hits major output milestones

CHINA Shipbuilding Group has achieved key production targets across multiple yards, including deliveries of LNG carriers and ammonia-fuelled bulkers, reports St Petersburg's PortNews.




Hudong-Zhonghua Shipbuilding delivered its 50th LNG carrier, the Al Tumar, for QatarEnergy. The vessel uses digital and low-carbon technologies to meet ABS and CCS standards.


Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding began construction of its second Aframax tanker for Turkey's Yasa, powered by a Tier III-compliant MAN B&W engine.


Dalian Shipbuilding named the CSPC Mercury, a 85,000-ton pulp carrier built for CITIC Financial Leasing. The ship is designed for multipurpose cargo and includes advanced thermal safety systems.


Beihai Shipbuilding named two 210,000-ton ammonia-fuelled bulkers for CMB.TECH. Both vessels use CSSC's green "Star" design platform and are classified by Lloyd's Register.
