THE Mediterranean Shipping Company's (MSC) logistics arm, MEDLOG, has officially opened the MEDLOG Inland Terminal Paris-Bruyeres, a new multimodal facility 40 kilometres north of Paris, reports London's Port Technology International.
Operational since late 2024, the site is designed to support sustainable, scalable growth in multimodal transport across the Ile-de-France and Grand Est regions.
The terminal covers a surface area of 11 hectares and boasts an annual handling capacity of over 100,000 TEU. The facility further includes a two-track rail terminal and a 230-metre-long river quay, enabling efficient multimodal operations.
Situated along the key corridor between Paris and the Port of Le Havre, the terminal offers direct rail and inland waterway connections, reducing reliance on road transport and associated emissions.
The terminal is part of MSC and Terminal Investment Limited's ongoing investment in France's logistics infrastructure, complementing projects like TN MSC Port 2000 in Le Havre.
Facilities include handling, storage, reefer services for agri-food and pharmaceutical goods, and capabilities for breakbulk and oversized cargo.
In February, MSC announced a revamp of its standalone Spain to/from Mauritania and Senegal service offering enhanced connectivity.
