Samudera Shipping Line posted a two-fold rise in net profit to US$41.8 million for 1H2025, driven by higher freight rates and expanded business activity, reported Shipping Herald.
Group revenue rose 28.0 per cent year on year to US$285.5 million, with the Container segment contributing US$261.9 million, up 29.3 per cent. Growth was supported by increased volumes, new services and ad-hoc vessel charters.
Bulk & Tanker revenue climbed 15.4 per cent to US$14.7 million, aided by two new ethylene gas vessels. Logistics revenue rose 15.6 per cent to US$9.1 million, boosted by fourth-party logistics activity in Indonesia.
Gross profit surged 85.4 per cent to US$52.7 million. The Group declared a tax-exempt interim dividend of 1.5 Singapore cents per share, up from 1.0 cent in 1H2024.
