DHL Global Forwarding has inaugurated a new logistics facility in the Ras Bufontas free zone near Hamad International Airport, specialising in air freight consolidation services, reported via press release.
The 1,200 square metre hub is designed to support regional and global distribution networks. Its location allows DHL to leverage Qatar's transport infrastructure and customs efficiency.
H.E. Sheikh Mohammed Bin Hamad Bin Faisal Al-Thani, CEO of the Qatar Free Zones Authority, said the facility will enhance operational capacity, warehousing capabilities and multimodal connectivity, creating a strategic footprint for partners and suppliers.
He added that the investment supports Qatar's shift from a transit hub to an integrated logistics platform, connecting the region to markets in Africa and Asia.
DHL Global Forwarding will offer air, sea and land logistics, marine shipping agent operations, general warehousing and customs brokerage from the new hub, reinforcing its Gulf region expansion.
