Activity in the freight market has shown mixed trends with bulk carriers largely steady while tankers slipped, reported Denmark's Shipping Telegraph.
Capesize vessels again saw slower activity, leading to minor rate declines across most routes. Panamax ships recorded stronger demand, with rates edging higher in several areas.
Supramax carriers maintained steady activity, with small rate increases in many regions. Handysize vessels remained stable, with unchanged rates reported across all directions.
The European coaster market showed fair activity. Rates in the Baltic and on the Continent were stable, while the Black Sea saw minor increases. Mediterranean levels remained unchanged.
Tanker activity slowed. Crude oil carriers experienced weaker demand, resulting in minor rate falls. Product tankers held fair activity but also recorded slight declines from various loading areas.
