Danish shipping giant Maersk has named Robert Erni as its new chief financial officer and announced a rotation of regional directors, reported London's S&P Global.
Mr Erni will succeed Patrick Jany, who has held the CFO role for six years. He will assume the position after Maersk reports its 2025 results on February 5. Mr Erni has three decades of financial experience in logistics, including senior roles at Kuehne + Nagel, Panalpina and most recently Dachser.
Chief executive Vincent Clerc said Mr Erni's international background and leadership skills made him a strong fit for the company.
Maersk also confirmed that three regional chiefs will move to new offices in early 2026. Charles Van Der Steene, president of North America since 2024, will become managing director for India following Richard Morgan's departure.
Asia-Pacific chief Ditlev Blicher will take over the North American division, while regional CFO Scott Elliott will succeed him in Asia-Pacific.
In Europe, Guillaume Sauzedde, who joined Maersk in 2024, will replace Aymeric Chandavoine, who is leaving the company. Mr Clerc said the reshuffle reflected strong execution of strategic priorities and confidence in reconfiguring regional leadership.
