North China's Ningxia autonomous region plans to invest US$1.1 billion in transport construction in 2011, reports Xinhua.

The region will build 2,000 kilometres of rural highways and expressways as well as a logistics park. It will also spend CNY350 million to restore national and provincial highways and CNY2 billion on building a transport terminal and logistics park.
