| Xiao Baojia, MBA of MSM, associate research fellow and vice president of Shanghai Maritime University, and deputy director of Shanghai International Shipping Institute. His work experience started in 1982 with China’s Ministry of Transport. He was transferred in 1998 to Shanghai Maritime University and appointed as its vice president in 2001. Since May 2004, he has assumed multiple responsibilities as deputy director of SISI, vice president of China Cruise & Yacht Industry Association under China Communications and Transportation Association and director of Cruise Economy Institute SISI. His major responsibilities at the university include navigation education management and new campus construction, and his principal fields of research cover development strategy and planning of water transport. He also acted as advisor to the state government in fulfilling China’s commitment to IMO’s STCW Convention. He has over twenty research projects commissioned by ministerial authorities or provincial governments, a third prize award issued by China Institute of Navigation, and a third prize in Shanghai decision-making consultation research achievements. |
