On April 7, 2013, Sun Wei, business development manager of Baltic Exchange and his colleague, Marcus Lee, freight market reporter came to visit SISI. Prof. Zhen Hong, Secretary-General of SISI and Prof. Li Gang, Deputy Secretary of SISI sent warm greetings on behalf of SISI to the guests.

Both parties had a discussion on the areas of cooperation and resource sharing in the future. Professor Zhen first briefed on SISI’s core research reports, periodicals, database, and various research projects. Then, Mr. Sun Wei made a simple introduction on the history of the Baltic Exchange development and future development plans. After the basic introduction, both sides discussed the specific aspects of future cooperation. SISI hopes to have an opportunity to sign a cooperation agreement with the Baltic exchange, thus ensuring stable cooperation between the two organizations.
