Date:2011-09-26 Readers:

THE president of MOL Logistics, Toshifumi Kato, the forwarding arm of Mitsui OSK Line (MOL), has signed an agency contract with a Dubai-based freight forwarder to form an extensive network in Africa.

MOL Logistics is "moving aggressively" to expand its service network in Africa, an emerging market following the BRICs (Brazil, Russia, India, China) markets, said a company statement.

The undisclosed forwarder has offices in the 12 African countries of Rwanda, Congo, Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Ethiopia, Zambia, Mozambique, Togo, Ghana and Nigeria

MOL Logistics (Japan) works continually to meet various logistics needs related to Africa by offering contract logistics in the Middle East, with Dubai as a gateway, as well as inbound and outbound sea and air services, added a statement.
