A NEW logistics centre for medical facilities has been up and running in Kunming, marking the commencement of a first for southwest China, Xinhua reports.
The CNY500 million (US$78.2 billion) logistics centre covers a floor area of over 100,000 square metres and serves 5,470 pharmaceutical manufacturers and 10,000 wholesalers, many of which have opened offices there.
The centre is estimated to be able to generate a sales revenue of CNY8 billion to CNY12 billion a year, becoming the hub for medical cargo flow between China and south east Asia.
