EUROPEAN forwarders experienced growth in September from August on the Danske Bank European Freight Forwarding Index from 46 to 53.
Air freight fell to 47 after increase over two months while sea freight increased to 59 in September - up from 46 in August - as road freight went up to 58 from 51.
German forwarding activity topped Europe, increasing from 42 to 69 while the Benelux region increased despite still showing contraction at 44. UK remained flat and Switzerland declined steeply from August's 57 to 40 in September.
