Shanghai: Shanghai container port handled larger volumes in October over the same period last year, according to statistics from Shanghai International Port (Group). The Chinese port moved 2.68m teu of containers last month, an increase of 14.3% compared to 2.35m teu in the corresponding period of 2010.Throughput, however, dipped month-on-month compared to 2.76m teu seen in September this year.In the first 10 months of this year, Shanghai recorded 26.44m teu of containers, up from 24m teu in the same period of last year.
