HOYER is presenting Full-Service Logistics at the easyFairs GEFAHRGUT
Date:2011-01-20 Readers:

The international logistics company HOYER will exhibit its services at easyFairs GEFAHRGUT in Essen and is looking forward to your visit.
HOYER, which is headquartered in Hamburg, not only seeks to share in the growth of its business partners but also encourages successful cooperative ventures with them. In Europe and throughout the world, the bulk logistics provider HOYER develops and realises complex solutions, in particular for the chemical, petroleum, gas and foodstuff industries.
Although the chemical industry – the most important sector for HOYER – fell off in 2009, HOYER was able to slightly increase its market share of European-wide logistics solutions.
In addition, the Supply Chain Solutions (SCS) department managed to increase its turnover compared with the previous year, thanks to new business opportunities.
With SCS, HOYER offers the customers inter-divisional services such as contract, intraand on-site logistics, outsourcing and consulting. These full-service features are also on hand for small containers (IBCs).
Apart from its general range of services, HOYER is focussed in Essen on presenting best practice solutions. HOYER has recently assumed responsibility for loading polyethylene granules for a well-known petrochemical company. For this purpose, a standard 20-foot container is fitted with an inlet and filled with granules using a special belt thrower loading procedure. HOYER uses a system by which the loading device can remain on site of the customer. This way considerable daily increases are achieved.
The Dutch company ELD (European Liquid Drumming) based in Oosterhout, which is 100 percent HOYER since the beginning of 2010, offers various logistics services for liquid products. Processes were recently optimised and customers can now benefit from improved services and increased quality.
HOYER not only employs tank containers and road tankers, but also a large fleet of different Intermediate Bulk Containers, or IBCs for short. These stainless steel containers – of which HOYER now owns over 18,000 – are ideal for transporting and storing liquid chemicals. The safe handling of highly sensitive chemicals during transport, storage and transhipment is a top priority for HOYER. Its very own SHEQ (Safety, Health, Environment and Quality) system forms an important foundation for perfect service.
