Malaysia-Vietnam LCL service launched by DHL Global Forwarding
Date:2012-09-03 Readers:

Sep.03--DHL GLOBAL Forwarding has announced the launch of its direct Less than Container Load (LCL) service between Malaysia's Port Klang and Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam.

The new weekly LCL service between Port Klang and Cat Lai offers the transit time port to port of three days saving customers up to 10 days and boosting intra-Asia trade flows between south-east Asia's third and sixth largest economies.

Bilateral trade between the countries reached US$4 billion, and with formal agreements, it is hoped to reach $10 million threshold, said its global head of LCL services Marc Mier.

This service not only ensures faster transport of goods to Vietnam, it also enables CO2-savings of up to four per cent.

It is the second direct LCL service launched by the company this month which includes Shanghai to Dubai.
