Jun.13--SOUTHWESTERN Guizhou province plans to build a grain logistics centre starting this year, Xinhua reports.
The CNY3.2 billion (US$505.7 million) facility will cover 266.7 hectares and is expected to be completed in three to five years. It is designed to have a warehousing and processing capacity of one million tonnes annually.
Guizhou is responsible for supplying neighbouring provinces and pressure is building because of poor weather and rising populations. With the new facility, there is confidence that grain problems can be beaten.
