SEAPORTS in southeast Fujian province lifted 860,000 TEU in July, an increase of 12 per cent year on year.

    Foreign trade cargo recorded the fastest growth in nearly five months of 8.4 per cent to 560,000 TEU. Domestic trade cargo increased 20 per cent to 290,000 TEU. Throughput at these ports rose 18 per cent to a historical high of 32.9 million tonnes.

    From January to July, the cargo handled by these ports amounted to 210 million tonnes.
