The process of liquidation of FGI Vysotsk Port Authority (VPA) together with the creation of a unified Port Authority of seaports located in the Gulf of Finland has been completed, the Federal Agency of Maritime and River Transport of Russia (Rosmorrechflot) said.
The federal property that was managed by former VPA was turned over to the Port Authority of Big Port St. Petersburg.
The formation of a single authorities of seaports of the Gulf basin was implemented on the basis of a decree of Russian Government from 19 July 2010 (N 1224-p). The Port Authority of Big Port St. Petersburg comprises the Big Port St. Petersburg and the ports of Primorsk (from 21 September 2005), Passenger Port of St. Petersburg (from 31 July 2008), Ust-Luga (from 6 October 2008), Vyborg (from May 21, 2009), Vysotsk (February 17, 2011).
