INNER Mongolia's Erenhot customs checkpoint handled 7.6 million tonnes of trade cargo during the period from January to September, 23.6 per cent more than in the same period a year ago, Xinhua reports.

    Import cargo went 20.7 per cent up to 5.6 million tonnes. Export cargo grew 32.5 per cent to 1.98 million tonnes.

    Total value of this cargo increased 30.5 per cent to US$2.8 billion. Import value grew 28.8 per cent to $1.4 billion. Export value climbed 33.5 per cent to $1.1 billion.
